Prospectors The Forgiven

Log-line: The Steady escalation of crime in a growing town right after the civil war has an effect on several locals as to how to deal with the travelers and gold prospectors. synopsis The Central California Town of Abaddon seemed like a nice place to move to after the civil war ended nice climate and even a new road to the coast could be found. People who fought on either side now moving or returning to the onetime gold rush town. Jacob, a local from a criminally inclined family and well known war hero for the south suffers "Soldier's Heart " from the horrors of war and also from the fact that most of his family and child hood friends are now robbing people coming or living in the area. The town marshal Tandel overseeing some of the crime and making a profit goes so far as to ask Jacob to work for him. Jacob rejects his offer and only seeks to be at peace with himself and God. He befriends and helps save Charlie X an orphan now the town handy man who fought for the north from attempts on his person even going so far as to kill one of his own kin . After this Jacob is sure that he bound for hell. When the marshal asks Jacob to kill the same man who threatened him and took his girl Jacob just can't stop himself and goes after the man. Later Jacob is holding a gun to his own head reminiscing about the war. The Bank office meeting to discuss the crime wave is pushed hard by Lilith a powerful women in town who is upset by the missing, robbed and killed people. Rewards are promised, bounty hunters, deputies and the like begin to cover the area trying to flush out criminals especially one extremely large man who has been terrorizing even the locals. Thomas O'Rion whose niece was raped by the big man and his buddy Janks are two near-to-do-well bounty hunters that stumble into the "Bottle Neck Bar" a spider-den type place that frequently robs and kills patrons. O'Rion goes into the bar alone and the next morning when Janks wakes up he begins looking for his partner and finds the same bar. He informs Daden the former owner that he is going to stay awhile as he is also looking for the big man and as he shows him a picture Charlie who has entered the bar sees it and is scared at the thought that his childhood tormentor may be in the area. As day turns to evening Charlie who has been entertaining the bar girls and drinking spends the last of his money just as the giant sized man "NoNo" appears from behind a curtain. NoNo begins to pummel Charlie bouncing him off wal
